Shiny, happy faces of little kids at Bal Mandir, Naxal surrounded Deepak Bajracharya, as he serenaded them with his songs. The occasion: concert on the release of his latest album “On Rush”.

“If my work brings about happiness, then I’m happy. These innocent faces don’t lie and their reaction is something I really cherish.” Bajracharya said that he had fallen in love with the Bal Mandir kids six years ago, during the promotional concert for “Jhoomi Jhoomi”. And revealed he plans to jam at the orphanage more often, “Some things you do for self-satisfaction and nothing makes me happier than seeing beaming smile on a kid’s face.”

Accompanied by Rhythm Band, Bajracharya performed “Kali Kali”, “Jhoomi Jhoomi”, “Mayako Dori”, “Amira”, and some of his latest tracks to an audience of 200 kids, aged 2 to 19. He also handed out study materials and snacks to the kids, who obviously were in awe with the singer.

Pramila Shrestha, the Information and Public Relation Section Chief, Bal Mandir, applauded Bajracharya’s efforts, “Through events like these, the kids get an opportunity to interact, and it helps in their growth. We are thankful to individuals like Deepak Ji who take some time out from their busy schedule to help us.”

Busy with his promotional tours for his latest album, Bajracharya will be travelling to Pokhara, Itahari and Dharan in the coming days. The album “On Rush” is out for sale and is brought to the market by Rise Music.
