-Preity Acharya

The Steam Injuns with the front woman of the band, Abhaya Subba Weise has premiered a music video, “Sadhai Sadhai” on Wednesday, Jan 9th through Image Channel.

The video is an acoustic one directed by Vibhushan Subba. As informed by Abhaya, the music video is released as the teaser to their upcoming music album, “Birahani”, (maaruni nachne taal).

Previously titled as, “malai pani haasna deu, malai pani bachna deu”, Abhaya informs that along with the album title, they have made a lot of changes in the music as well.

Although, the album will be released in the month of February, interesting news is that, they do not have a record company so far.
“We do not have a record company and we haven’t thought about the distribution yet. We are basically planning for pushing sales. Let’s see if any record company is interested, they may approach us” says Abhaya.

According to the source, “The band has spent a lot of money for coming up with the record, because of which they are least hopeful to the album sales and marketing through companies. So, the band is in looking forward to more media support this time.”

The news is that, The steam Injuns have worked a lot in the music and this time it’s going to be really different! Let’s hear what they have to say…
“We are trying to bring a change in Nepali music and bring a new trend. I think people are bored of listening to similar music so; we want to bring a difference. I would like to describe the music album as “Eclectic”, that is an output of the cultures that we experience and so on” describes Abhaya.

Will the eclectic melodies please the listeners’ musical drives? That’s yet to see!
